It’s not too far from San Luis, the oldest town in Colorado, and has perfect views of the iconic Mount Blanca (which boasts 4 of Colorado’s world famous 14,000 ft peaks.) The publicly maintained dirt road is apparently more traveled by wild horses than it is cars! Of course being a part of the Wild Horse Mesa’s subdivision, it’s no big surprise to see the wild mustangs roam through here on a regular basis. Other views include the rounded Ute Mountain, which actually sits in New Mexico. You can leave your property in be in New Mexico in a matter of minutes! It’s a wonderful place to call your base camp as you drop down south to spend the day Taos, NM or head north and experience the Fort at the Fort Garland Museum or maybe a little further on to the Great Sand Dunes. There’s a lot more to experience in this area, whether you’re camping or building an off-the-grid home on the site. The new owner does not have any build time restrictions.
